Production Gardens

Our production gardens are located on both private and public spaces. They are farmed by staff and volunteers and used to grow the produce that supplies the Shares program. While we also cultivate some in-ground rows at our Community Gardens, our major production gardens include the following spaces:

  • Sheridan St.

  • Feeding Laramie Valley Farms

  • Labonte Park

Garden Research

Our Garden Research Projects advocate for entrepreneurial local food projects and offers project support through community-based participatory action research. Currently our three major areas of research are focused on: Gardens for Health Healing, which provides gardens in Albany; Food Dignity, collaborate in mapping the most appropriate and effective roads forward for creating sustainable community food systems that build food security; Food Chronicles; and Growing Resilience
