SPONSORSHIP & BUSINESS PARTNERS

You Can Make a Better Food Future

Our Partners make our mission possible. Join us in making our vision for a better food future for all a reality. Feeding Laramie Valley provides many opportunities for donor and sponsor recognition. Read more below!

Feeding Laramie Valley is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to safe, healthy, affordable foods, especially for those who are most vulnerable, including elders, those living with disability, and children. Our mission doesn't end there, however. We are working to transform the food system from the roots up by privileging local and sustainable sources and solutions for stronger local and regional economies and communities.

2024 saw the biggest jump in rates of food insecurity since 2008, jumping from 11.1% to 15.3% in Albany County alone. Our programs have felt this impact with record numbers of participants and more joining every day, resulting in higher operating expenses. Help up grow our capacity not only to meet this staggering rise in community need but to realize our vision for a food system that strengthens local economies by empowering local farmers, ranchers, and consumers.

Feeding Laramie Valley is a program of Action Resources International, LLC, a 501(c)s nonprofit organization dedicated to community activism that promotes safety and prevention of violence; social and economic justice; sustainable food security and sovereignty; and access to overall health and wellness for everyone. Donations are tax-deductible.

We would love to talk with you further about the ways you can partner with Feeding Laramie Valley to build a better food future for all! Make a donation below or contact us to for more options in joining our growing community of sponsors who make our mission possible!

Thank you for making Wyoming a healthier place!

How Your Support Makes a Difference

There are many ways to partner with Feeding Laramie Valley, so we are happy to work with you to find an area of support that most speaks to you!

Feeding Laramie Valley Programs

Cost
Two hands holding a bucket of fresh food waste

Community Composting

$35,580/year

To promote a closed-loop food system, we collect food waste for re-use as compost at our production gardens. We partner with local businesses to pick up their food waste and we maintain drop-off sites for community members.

Impact: In 2024 to date, we have kept over 13,000 lbs of food waste out of the landfill.

Kiwanis Park Community Garden

Community Gardens

$2,400/year

Garden plots are available at Kiwanis Park and LaBonte Park in Laramie for community members who don’t have access to yards for growing their own food. Mentors are available to help!

Impact: A single 4'x8' raised bed can grow enough produce for 2 people for an entire growing season.

Kids Out to Lunch

$33,384/year

Each summer, we provide fresh, made-from-scratch meals to local children ages 0-18 free of charge every weekday. The USDA Summer Food Services program funds 26% of the program, while Feeding Laramie Valley covers the balance.

Impact: We serve about 3,000 children every summer, when school meals aren't available to meet nutritional needs

Front of the big blue Mobile Market bus

Mobile Market

$5,200 / gas alone

A supermarket on wheels! We make fresh, regional produce and other healthy ingredients available in rural communities without convenient grocery store access. Prices are charged on a sliding scale so all can afford fresh produce. Gas and maintenance are our biggest expenses!

Impact: We travel 150 miles each week and sell approximately 5,000 lbs of food each year

FLV Farm with Hoop Houses

Production Gardens

$33,000 / year

We are leading the way in demonstrating sustainable agricultural best practices at high elevation in an arid climate using innovative methods in seed starting, hydroponics, and polyculture to boost production and feed the community.

Impact: We grow about 2,500 lbs of produce annually to distribute through our Shares program

SHARES

$158,150 / year

Our biggest program, through the Shares program, FLV distributes fresh, high-quality, locally grown and regional fresh produce to those who need it each year free of cost. Community members come to our office weekly for pick-ups and we deliver to those who are homebound.
