Food is a recognized fundamental human right, third only to air and water. World Food Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to advocate for the right of all people to safe, healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food.
Feeding Laramie Valley is committed to the "Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future" in Albany County and throughout Wyoming. We increase access to healthy foods by growing and distributing fresh produce to over 700 unduplicated individuals weekly through our Shares program, by making it possible for individuals and families to grow their own healthy food with our Community Gardens, by helping small farmers and ranchers thrive in a sustainable local economy, and much more to ensure access to food in our county is equitable, safe, and affordable.
With rates of food insecurity on the rise and the unprecedented jump in the cost of living, especially at the grocery store, your help is needed now more than ever!
